Job Description:
The Corporate Communications intern will work with the team members on numerous projects as well as contribute to executive communications initiatives. Depending upon the strengths, skills, and interests of the intern, he/she would be assigned tasks that may range from:
Assisting with the creation of communication plans and strategic messaging
Drafting media alerts and/or press releases
Creating media lists, developing media pitches, and media monitoring
Writing social media posts, crafting social media plans, and posting content
Assisting with varied other writing and editing tasks, including audience-specific publications and executive briefings
Conducting research to help Corporate Communications team members with projects
Helping with photo shoot, video shoot, and special event planning and coordination
Qualifications:
Good writing and communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Basic understanding of common public relations activities and terms
Proficiency in basic Microsoft programs like Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Self-starter and have the ability to take initiative and work independently, but also have the maturity and ability to work as part of a team.
Digital/social media experience is a plus.
