Job Description
Currently hiring Substitute Teachers within the Newark, Wilmington and Dover areas. The ideal candidates will possess some classroom experience or experience working with children in general and hold a high school diploma or a bachelor's degree, or a Delaware teaching license and area-specific certificate.
Responsibilities of the Substitute Teacher K-12
- Follow all school policies, rules, and procedures.
- In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, help students to learn subject matter and/or skills that are required for scheduled lessons and to provide meaningful instruction for assigned classrooms.
- Carry out lessons according to the primary teachers/administration instructions.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
Requirements of the Substitute Teacher K-12
- A high school diploma or a bachelor's degree, or a Delaware teaching license and area-specific certificate
- Must be reliable, punctual and professional
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized and committed
