Job Summary:
The Student Athlete Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting student-athletes by providing comprehensive academic advising and international student support. This position is responsible for ensuring that all student-athletes are eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics in accordance with NJCAA guidelines and institutional regulations. This role involves the evaluation and monitoring of academic progress and maintaining accurate records of student-athlete compliance. This position will collaborate with faculty, enrollment services, student services, and external agencies to ensure student-athletes have a positive and enriching learning experience through developmental programing and volunteer activities.

Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree and two years full-time equivalent related experience and/or training required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of and ability to maintain professional boundaries with student-athletes
- Ability to conduct effective training and presentations
- Proficient skills using Microsoft Office applications
- Basic skills using (or ability to learn) student records system (Colleague preferred)
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone and copier
- Ability to teach student-athletes the importance of team building, leadership skills, and time management
- Ability to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the college and the athletic governing body
- Demonstrated ability to follow directives and assume responsibility for assigned tasks
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment as needed
- Willingness and ability to attend seminars, meetings, and other professional development opportunities at or away from NIC Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and proof of degree if required for this position.
