Job Description

We are looking for a part-time science specialist in the Los Angeles area who can work in and near the Palisades, Brentwood, and Beverly Hills for hybrid, one-on-one in-person and online tutoring. Experience with high school sciences (chemistry/biology) up to AP Biology and AP Chemistry is required, and experience with high school math (Algebra 1/2, Geometry, & Trigonometry), high school physics (up to AP Physics), and AP Calculus would be ideal!

ESM Prep is a group of passionate educators seeking a new Academic Mentor in mathematics who is excited to work at the intersection of education and business. Job Description.  

This tutor/mentor will assist students one-on-one in multiple academic subjects and mentor them through their overall high school academic journey.

We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree‍
• Must be able to tutor in-person 2 to 3 times a week in Brentwood, Beverly Hills, and Pacific Palisades.
• Experience with high school sciences (chemistry/biology) up to AP Biology and AP Chemistry is required , and experience with AP calculus and AP Physics is preferred! 
• Available part-time. Tutoring usually occurs on weekday evenings (after 3pm) and/or on weekends. The typical work schedule is Sunday-Thursday. Although the majority of the work is online, you must be available for in-person tutoring in students' homes. Full-time work may be an opportunity for those interested and qualified.
• Prior experience tutoring ACT and/or SAT is a plus! 
• Available to tutor through June 2025 or longer.
• Reliable internet access.
• Reliable transportation.

Compensation/ Benefits :

• $60/hour academic tutoring and $70/hour test prep rate
