Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE : The Secretary to the Mayor performs routine clerical and administrative duties to support the daily operations of the Mayor’s Office, including managing correspondence, greeting visitors, and assisting with scheduling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains the Mayor’s schedule and notifies the Mayor of changes.
- Prepares, organizes, and maintains correspondence and records. • Greets visitors and serves as a representative of the Mayor’s Office when required.
- Answers incoming calls, responds to basic inquiries or complaints, or directs callers to appropriate staff.
- Assists with mailings, newsletters, and City-sponsored events.
- Assist Administrative Aide as needed. • Performs related duties as required DESIRED
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent experience or related education and at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Demonstrated experience working in an office environment. • Skilled in computer use and basic office software.
- Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records.
- Effective in collaborating and communicating with colleagues and the public.
