Our client in Boston is seeking a Pension Administrator to provide hands-on administrative support for a retirement plan. We’re looking for someone with prior retirement plan administration experience who thrives on organization, attention to detail, and ensuring participant requests are handled efficiently.
This contract role is expected to continue for 6 months and will require a hybrid schedule with at least 2-3/days week on-site in the Boston office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mail out distribution forms and process incoming mail
- Document returned mail and correct participant addresses using a third-party address search service
- Monitor incoming service request tickets, logging and tracking in spreadsheets
- Act as the first line of response for Tier 1 inquiries (distributions, balance inquiries, beneficiary changes, etc.) and escalate more complex issues when necessary
- Ensure participant requests are managed in compliance with plan rules
- Keep participant records organized and up to date
Job Qualifications:
- Previous pension administration or defined contribution (DC) plan experience required
- Strong organizational and data-entry skills
- Familiarity with plan documents and participant-level transactions (distributions, balances, beneficiaries)
- Comfortable with ticketing systems and Excel/Google Sheets
