Salary: 89,700 - 162,150 USD per year Requirements:
- We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Experience interacting with service lanes to handle service inquiries and problems.
- Extensive experience working as a Tier 2 system administrator, particularly with Exchange/Vault tools.
- Strong familiarity with Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange 2016.
- In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Vault solutions to optimize active server storage requirements.
- Proven experience in scripting/automation through Exchange PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues in a growing environment.
- Excellent time management skills, capable of working independently within an IT Service Management/ticketing system (ServiceNow).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to guide and enhance team performance.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and support peers in improving processes and results.
- Capability to triage and properly classify incidents, prioritizing work efforts accordingly.
- Extensive experience in planning, deploying, and documenting patch and configuration updates.
- Solid knowledge of Disaster Recovery for High Availability in large environments.
- Experience with log reviews, incident analysis, and identifying issue trends.
- Familiarity with server patch management methodologies utilizing SCCM.
- Candidates must meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience, an Associate’s Degree with 10+ years, or a Master’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. (12 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.)
Responsibilities: - In the role of Exchange Systems Administrator SME, you will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Remotely log into servers to perform technical software configuration, rebooting, and other remedial actions.
- Provide implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring support for physical and virtual servers, rapidly distinguishing isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application and system issues.
- Collaborate with peers and other service lanes to perform network latency analysis to address slow connections and user experience concerns.
- Collect data, conduct analysis, and develop and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive availability and capacity management solution using best practices.
- Deliver follow-up reports including technical findings, feedback, and resolution steps for root cause analysis, operational assessment, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support customer requirements in a 24/7/365 environment, including providing on-call support during after-hour outages.
- Update operations and monitoring documentation for our 24/7/365 Operations Watch personnel.
- Address issues related to group mailboxes and distribution lists, including designating end-users as group mailbox owners.
- Manage and operate email routing devices and services (e.g., McAfee, Proofpoint, and Edge devices).
- Perform day-to-day management and administration for the Exchange Online system within an Office 365 hybrid/cloud environment.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot email retention systems utilizing Veritas Enterprise Vault.
- Oversee roles and services, user permissions, email queues, and dynamic distribution groups.
- Implement Exchange PowerShell to automate tasks.
