The role of the Inpatient Pharmacy Assistant Director involves ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal policies governing pharmacy operations, while also overseeing the scheduling of Pharmacy Staff and managing staff development projects. The Inpatient Pharmacy Assistant Director will design, implement, and evaluate the impact of these projects, conduct staff training in clinical programs and pharmaceutical care, and develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures. The role includes maintaining proper drug storage and security, advancing pharmacy informatics, and providing education on drug therapy to medical staff.
Candidates for the Inpatient Pharmacy Assistant Director should have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, a Master or Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and be licensed in South Carolina.
