We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing administrative team. You'll be responsible for overseeing accurate billing for home health services, submitting claims to insurance companies, and ensuring prompt reimbursement in compliance with healthcare laws and policies.
Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers
Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility
Handle claim follow-ups, appeals, and denials
Maintain patient billing records in EMR systems
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation
Respond to billing inquiries from patients and insurers
Stay current on CMS regulations, HIPAA, and coding updates
1+ years of experience in home health billing or medical billing
Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
Experience with EMR/Billing software (e.g., Kinnser, Axxess, or similar)
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Billing certification (e.g., CMRS, CBCS) is a plus
