Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Mid-Pacific is seeking a dedicated High School Language Arts and English Language Development (ELD) Teacher to teach a range of courses including multiple levels of Language Arts and ELD courses. This position requires expertise in both Language Arts instruction and ELD strategies, ensuring that all students—whether in mainstream English courses or English language development—receive high-quality, engaging instruction that fosters critical thinking, communication, and deeper learning.

The teacher will utilize differentiated strategies to support a wide range of learners, from students in rigorous Language Arts courses (including potential IB English Literature, Higher Level) to multilingual learners acquiring academic English proficiency.

Essential to this role is the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, administrators, and community members to support each student's growth. The teacher will actively contribute to Mid-Pacific’s deeper learning framework, integrating inquiry-driven, real-world learning experiences that empower students to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage meaningfully in their education.

This position reports to the Middle & High School Assistant Principal for Academics.
