Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Universal Heavy Equipment Operator. The role involves operating various heavy machinery, including dozers, excavators, loaders, and more, to support infrastructure construction and maintenance projects. Key requirements include attention to detail, strong decision-making, effective communication, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate a variety of heavy equipment Motor graders, dozers, excavators, loaders, skid steers, motor graders, and other machinery as required.
· A keen eye to detail and good decision-making skills
· Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
· Assist in the construction and maintenance of roads, and other infrastructure projects.
· Sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
· Load and move dirt, rocks or other materials, using graders or other related equipment.
· Ability to read grade stakes and blue top - GPS experience is plus.
· Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any defects.
· Strict adherence to complying with safety policies and procedures.
· Provide support to successful completion of construction and engineering work
Key Qualifications & Skills:
· 4-5 years of experience operating multiple equipment’s, GPS experience is a plus
· Proven experience operating a variety of heavy equipment in construction or related industries.
· Required Valid Driver’s License
· Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
· Strong finish grade experience required
· Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs. regularly
· Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
