About the Role
Munson Boats is seeking skilled Aluminum Boat Builders for our facility in Burlington, WA. You will be responsible for constructing custom aluminum vessels, including fire/rescue boats, research boats, and workboats.
Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints and technical drawings
- Fit and weld aluminum boat parts for custom vessels
- Assemble and weld projects from start to finish as part of a small team
- Construct boat fixtures, including decks, lockers, wheelhouse, and pipework
- Perform structural and seam welding using C/V MIG and PULSED MIG techniques
- Fabricate specialty parts using TIG welding
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Required Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Strong welding skills, particularly MIG and TIG welding for aluminum
- Ability to set up welding equipment for production
- Basic construction and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field
- Knowledge of welding techniques and safety protocols
- Experience in custom fabrication or marine industry
