Summary

Town & Country Early Learning Center is looking for Lead and Assistant Teachers/Floaters to join our team of educators working with children infants though before and after school. Applicants must be interested in supporting our mission to provide a nurturing, educational, and secure environment for young children.

NO WEEKENDS! NO NIGHTS! And a cleaning company that cleans the center every night!

Infant/Toddler teachers and assistant teachers are responsible for the supervision of up to 8 children ages 6 weeks to 36 months
Preschool teachers are responsible for the supervision of up to 10 children ages 3-5 years

Full and Part time positions available

Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Using positive discipline techniques to support independence, self-regulation, and social skills
  • Supporting children in developing self-help skills
  • Record keeping
  • Communicating with families
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Maintaining conduct and professionalism
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, learning environment
  • Creating and implementing curriculum that supports children's growth and development in alignment with the CTELDS
  • Gathering data regarding children's growth and development in alignment with the CTDOTS
  • Maintaining required certifications - CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Background checks, CT Charts-A-Course Registry, current statement of good health
  • Demonstrating reliability and punctuality

Requirements

Lead Teachers must have earned a AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Assistant teachers must be at least 18 years old with at least a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with young children, preferably 3 references
Dependable
Reliable transportation
Ability to SMILE: Smile, Make others feel special, provide Information, Listen, Engage with children

Employees working 35 - 40 hours/week are considered full time after completing a 90-day probationary period.
