Great opportunity for a cost accountant with a multi-national established company.
The Cost Accountant position will maintain the bill of materials for the plants and prepare daily production reports for management, prepare multiple journal entries during the month-end close process, prepare the monthly inventory reconciliation, and perform other critical functions and analyses involving inventory accounting. Compensation is up to $80k with potential of sign-on bonus. This position is hybrid working and relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the bill of materials (BOM) in IQMS to ensure proper inventory costing at the plants.
- Implement the annual cost roll and quarterly commercial costing.
- Prepare daily production reports for management and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Prepare journal entries timely and accurately during the month-end close process.
- Reconcile the General Ledger inventory accounts to the perpetual and other support monthly, and explain variances.
- Monitor key General Ledger accounts daily for problems with production, receiving and shipping, and analyze other accounts monthly as required.
- Analyze and adjust the obsolescence reserve monthly.
- Manage the accounting for customer toll accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 0-2 years minimum years of experience
- Excel experience
- IQMS experience a plus
