Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that help our clients achieve business objectives through innovative and secure technology solutions. This position requires a strong background in cloud architecture, project management, and a deep understanding of public and private cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Solution Design: Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions that align with clients' business needs and strategic goals.
Architecture & Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with existing on-premise systems, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
Strategic Consulting: Provide expert guidance to clients on cloud adoption strategies, roadmap development, and technology optimization.
Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud environments adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations, particularly for government and public sector clients.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions.
Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for improvements in scalability, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed architectural documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance.
Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture or cloud engineering roles, with a strong background in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Familiarity with security frameworks and protocols for cloud environments (IAM, encryption, etc.).
Understanding of networking, databases, and serverless computing in cloud environments.
Project Management Skills: Experience in working on large-scale IT projects, preferably within government or public sector settings.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient cloud solutions.
