Position overview:
The Department of Counselor Education at Boise State University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor of Counselor Education with preference for a focus on school counseling; however, we also welcome applications for those with a focus on clinical mental health or addiction counseling. The position will start in the fall semester of 2025. The faculty member will (a) teach a variety of counseling courses, including clinical courses such as practicum and/or internship; b) mentor and advise MA students; (c) provide coordination to the school cognate or (practicum; and (d) participate in service activities at the University, College, and Department level, as well as engage in community and professional service activities. The Department of Counselor Education offers a Master of Arts in Counseling with a cognate in School Counseling and a cognate in Addiction Counseling. In addition, the Department offers a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision delivered through an innovative Apprentice Model. Both the Master's and Doctoral programs are CACREP accredited. The Department is housed in the School of Allied Health Science in the College of Health Sciences .
