Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Essential to the success of the security program is an on site Assistant Security Supervisor.
- The Assistant Security Supervisor will manage a daily security operation and directly oversee and train 27 Housing and Residence Life Security Guards located in fifteen residential facilities/areas.
- The guards are involved in protecting people, state and personal property for a residential student population of approximately 6,300.
- The Assistant Security Supervisor reports directly to the Security Guard Supervisor and serves as a liaison between professional staff and Security Guard staff.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in security, enforcement, or protection work. May require valid N.C. driver's license.
University Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in security, enforcement, or protection work. May require valid N.C. driver's license.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
- At least five years of security related experience (police or corrections officer, military police, and / or supervising private security).
- Management/Lead experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Google mail.
- Willingness to / history of working 3rd shift.
- A good knowledge of Security.
- A willingness to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- A good work History-attendance, tardiness, telephone reference, years of service.
- High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in security, enforcement, or protection work. May require valid N.C. driver's license.
