Job Title: Architectural Designer

Job Description

  • Collaborate on various phases of project design from programming client needs, conceptual design, along with some construction administration, and onsite experience.
  • Project Diversity of various typology of projects that may consist of, but not limited to: Industrial, Multi-Family, Mixed Use, Urban Planning, Commercial, Corporate Office, Lab/Medical, Historic Preservation and Renovations, and Retail Projects, which will continue to allow a candidate a diverse opportunity of project experience.
  • Work directly with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Resolve technical and design issues.
  • Assist in team and client communication, reporting directly with supervisor.
  • Provide project team coordination for programming plans and test fits, conceptual designs, preliminary material selections.
  • Create Building Massing and 3D Modeling for Projects, along with Graphic Presentation work for Project Presentations.


Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-7 years’ experience designing projects of varying scale, Workplace experience a plus, but not required
  • Professional Degree in related field
  • Strong Common Sense and Problem Solving Skills
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to problem solve both individually and as a part of a project team
  • Proficiency in the use of 2D/3D software, such as Sketchup and AutoCAD, Revit is a plus
  • Strong Sense of Graphic/Presentation Skills, and proficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work fast on projects in a sometimes high pace environment


Additional Information:

  • Will work directly with leadership of Design and Preconstruction on their growing pipeline of work, to combine creativity and technical knowledge, on a vast diversity of projects.
  • Projects move at a quick pace, as their trying to draw and design just enough detail to "sell" the project. Typically work on 3-4 projects over a 2-4 week period.
